Dear ALA Publishing Partners and Exhibitors,
We are pleased to invite you to help us create an inspiring lineup of Author Speakers for ALA's 2025 Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA. We seek speakers who embody ALA's Core Values and high-profile authors and thought leaders who can bring a "wow factor" to the 2025 Annual Conference.
To effectively curate the best combination of speakers that resonates with our community and attracts attendees, we have developed a streamlined online platform for submitting nominations, which will enhance our evaluation process and communication with you. This platform and refreshed timeline will enable us to market your speakers earlier and more effectively, increasing exposure and impact for the event.

Key Dates:
- October 10, 2024: Call for Author-Speakers Opens
- November 13, 2024: Submission Deadline
- December 2024: Speaker Selection Notification
- January 30, 2025: Speaker Collateral Due
- February 2025: Annual Conference Registration Opens, Speaker Marketing Begins
Submission Process:
- Create a profile on our online platform (you will need to create a new profile even if you nominated speakers for LLX)
- Submit individual nominations for each author by Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
- If selected, provide all required materials (bio, headshot, book cover, marketing blurb, speaker contract) by January 30, 2025.
Note: Submissions will only be accepted through the online platform. Authors may be removed from the slate if materials are not received by the deadline.
Benefits for Sponsors:
- Recognition in ALA materials and onsite signage
- Promotional opportunities (book signings, American Libraries coverage, potential podcast/PSA features)
- Speaker accommodations and ground transportation provided by ALA
Sponsor Responsibilities:
- Submit marketing materials by the January 30 deadline
- Cover speaker's travel to/from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Arrange a moderator or interviewer if needed (including travel coverage)
- Manage book signing materials and staffing
