An important message from your pastor

Dear Members and Friends:

As I hope you have heard, our stewardship theme for this year is Remember. We are recalling stories from our past and what Northminster has meant to us. We are also considering our support of the church so we can be sure there will be more memories of this place in the future.

Your generosity this year is indeed something worth remembering. Many of you made special gifts to help repair the roof and steeple over the sanctuary and deal with other building emergencies. A number of you also made special gifts to help purchase a new pipe organ. Be sure to check the updates on the bulletin board to see our progress on that project.

It has been a busy and expensive year and it is not over yet.

I am writing to ask you to remember something else – your pledge to the general fund. With all our special giving and summer absences for vacations we have fallen behind on our regular pledged income. This has created a bit of a cash flow problem for the church. Our congregation has an exceptional record of fulfilling pledges every year and we count on that when we budget. So, when pledges are not paid it creates financial issues. My request is that you remember. Remember all this congregation has meant to you and imagine what it can continue to mean in the future. Then remember to keep your annual giving current. If there is a problem just give us a call.

Thank you for being part of this faith community and for helping us create memories each day.

Pastor Teri
