Happy November—happy holidays—and I hope you're doing well! Temperatures are dropping, it's getting dark sooner, and our Knights are preparing to wrap up their semester. As you keep them in your thoughts and prayers, I want to reflect on some of our recent successes.
On October 19, Marian University celebrated Homecoming. Alumni came in droves to watch our Knights Football team beat the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers 45-40. The Alumni Family Fun Zone boasted quite the crowd, as they enjoyed food, games, photo opportunities, and perfect fall weather.
Just a few days later, on October 25, was the Best Ever Marian University Gala. This annual event saw more than 2,000 people attend, including 360+ alumni. It was incredible to hear about the numerous successes Marian has experienced in the past year and the momentum we have moving forward.
Hopefully, you were able to attend these events! If not, and even if you did, keep an eye on Marian University's calendar, and make sure you come back to visit our beloved alma mater!

MARIAN.EDU EMAILS WILL BE
TERMINATED 1 YEAR POST-GRAD
In the past, Marian has offered life-long access to student email accounts post-graduation. However, with 50,000+ maintained accounts, to continue to do so would be a security risk. This means that starting January 1, 2025, all student email accounts will be eliminated one year post-graduation.
If you are not a current student and have not taken classes in over a year, your marian.edu and Office365 email account will be terminated on December 31, 2024.
If you have emails or documents saved in these accounts, we recommend you transfer those as soon as possible. |

MARIAN ALUMNA IS NOW
A POOR CLARE NUN
Originally from Marshall, Illinois, Sister Rose Caritas '19, also known as Ruthanne Gorrell at Marian University, first experienced cloistered, contemplative life during her senior year when she attended a "Come and See" retreat with the Poor Clares.
After four years of formation, Sr. Rose professed her solemn vows and began her first profession as a Poor Clare nun.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Marian University's Journey to 2030: Always Forward fundraising effort is imperative in continuing the exponential growth of Marian and setting our students on the pathway to achieving their dreams academically, professionally, and personally.
As of right now, Marian University has secured $418.2M of our $750M goal. This is thanks to the generosity of our alumni, donors, and community.

MARIAN DANCE TEAM KIDS CLINIC
The Marian Knights Dance Team is hosting a kids camp (K-8th grade) on Saturday, January 11, 2025, before the double header basketball game vs. St. Francis. The camp is from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the PE Center. Attendees will learn a run routine that they get to perform at halftime of the women's basketball game.
Lunch will be provided after the camp, from 12 to 12:30 p.m.
