It’s a true privilege to serve as President of the Marian University Alumni Association. Marian shaped my life in more ways than I ever imagined—from the classroom to the football field to moments of profound personal growth. Now, I’m honored to help lead efforts that invite more of our alumni family to stay engaged and connected. 

This year, my goal is simple: to inspire more of you to take part in the meaningful experiences that make Marian so special. Whether it’s returning to campus for Homecoming, cheering on the Knights at a fall game, or sharing your time and wisdom by mentoring a student or volunteering to host a First-Year Welcome Dinner, we need your voice and presence. 

If you’re looking for a deeper way to give back, I also invite you to consider serving on the MUAA Board. It’s one of the most fulfilling ways to stay rooted in our mission and give back to the community that gave us so much.

We’re thrilled to welcome two new leaders to the Marian University Alumni Association Board!

Kristi (Nord) McDonald ’03 has been elected MUAA Board President-Elect. A former Women’s Tennis Team member and proud alumna with a degree in Nutrition, Kristi is a board-certified lactation consultant with a passion for supporting families. She and her husband, Joe ’01, live in Germantown, TN, with their four children. Kristi looks forward to deepening alumni engagement and giving back to the university that helped shape her faith and career.

Brylee Koontz ’24 joins the board as Secretary. An Orr Fellow at The Heritage Group, Brylee graduated with a double major in Management and Marketing and served as Student Body President. Deeply involved in campus life, she now brings her energy and dedication to the MUAA Board, the Gala Committee, and the Women of Marian Committee.

Women of Marian Summer Luncheon: A Celebration and Community

The Women of Marian Society will host its annual Summer Luncheon on Saturday, July 26, from 11:00am to 1:30pm in the Marian University Arena. The signature event brings together hundreds of women from Marian University and the greater Indianapolis community to celebrate and learn from each other.

Enjoy mimosas and lunch followed by a panel focusing on women in civic leadership moderated by Anne Hathaway, president and CEO of Hathaway Strategies, and featuring Senator Cyndi Carrasco, Representative Julie McGuire and Representative Vanessa Summers.
