CHANGES TO THE ACCREDITATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES (P&P) of the CVTEA:
 


The January 2024 publication of the Accreditation Policies and Procedures Manual of the AVMA CVTEA is found online. A summary of the changes to this version is linked here.

ANNUAL ACCREDITATION FEES
 


Invoices for the 2024 AVMA CVTEA Annual Accreditation Fee are found in the AVMA CVTEA Online Accreditation System by Armature under the DOCUMENTS tab within the INVOICES subfolder. Note that documents do not post in chronological order. Be sure to check for the file date posted in 2023.

The fee for 2024 is $1,735 (a reduction of $10 from 2023). Payments are due no later than April 15, 2024, or programs may be subject to a $500 penalty fee and Administrative Probation with a penalty fee up to double the annual accreditation fee.

CALL FOR PUBLIC FEEDBACK
 


The CVTEA is cyclically reviewing the following Standards of Accreditation and sections of Appendix F – Instructional Resources and Equipment list and Appendix G - Essential and Recommended Skills List.

Feedback can be submitted online at the survey here. Responses are due no later than April 15, 2024.

  • Appendix F Cyclical review of Species (Companion, Food & Fiber, Laboratory & Exotic)
  • Appendix G Cyclical review of Section 1 (Office and Hospital Procedures, Client Relations, and Communication)
  • Appendix G Cyclical review of Section 4 (Anesthesia)
  • Appendix G Cyclical review of Section 7 (Imaging)
Other sections that will be included in the public feedback outside of cyclical review are listed below. Note that this does not include the entire section referenced; only a specific change is being presented to the public for feedback. Details found within the public survey.

CVTEA has two committee positions open with terms beginning in July 2024 until July 2029.

Information and the application is on the AVMA Website.

Applications are due no later than February 15, 2024.
