MHAW 2026

Join us next week for the annual Spring Semester Mental Health Action Week! We have the whole week full of exciting events highlighting mental health resources and socials to help de-stress and relax with your fellow graduate students. Sign up for each event with the respective QR codes. Slots for each event are limited.




Cat Cafe Social & Ice Cream Social

 
For MHAW Day 3, we have something fun planned! Meet us over on main street in Lafayette from 5pm to 7pm and either grab a free scoop of ice cream on us or visit the cute kitties over at Lazy Cat Cafe. Only the first 20 sign ups will receive a spot at Lazy Cat, while the first 50 sign ups will receive a free scoop at Every's.




PCGC: Navigating Grad Life Stressors

The Purdue Counseling and Guidance Center is collaborating with the Community Team this MHAW to bring an interactive workshop to you. Sign up to visit PGSC on Thursday, March 5th from 5:30-7:30pm and participate. Dinner will be provided.




Bowling at PMU Rack N Roll


For the final day of Spring MHAW 2026, we reserved all of the bowling lanes at Rack N Roll from 7:10 to 9:10pm. We have two one-hour time slots for the first 50 people signed up. Come knock some pins, and eat some pizza!

PGSCenter: THE HOME OF PGSG

Make this your home on campus - Purdue Graduate Student Center is located at 504 Northwestern Avenue, West Lafayette. We are located right in front of the Northwestern Parking Garage. PGSCenter is open to all graduate students Monday through Friday from 8 am to 9 pm . Enjoy what the Center has to offer!
Kitchenette equipped with microwaves, full size refrigerator, coffee, hot chocolate, snack (
first come first served basis) & Coke vending machines. Lounge features large screen TV, piano keyboard, board games, etc. We also have 60 seating conference room for seminars, meetings, etc.
Plus, there are many areas to use for study space or meet up with friends!

Intensive Writing Experience

The Intensive Writing Experience (IWE) gives graduate students in good standing with their programs time to write or revise their master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation with support from Purdue OWL staff.
For spring break 2026, IWE will be held in person Monday through Friday, March 16-20, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Space is limited.

Dates/Times: March 16-20, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Application Period: February 26-March 8, 2026
Eligibility: Master’s or PhD students completing a thesis or dissertation
