Dear colleagues-

It’s still very quiet here on campus as we head into October with the Purdue COVID-19 dashboard reporting 2.31% for the most recent 7 day period.

Despite the persistent need for vigilance, we are looking forward to an active month for C4E with two upcoming talks - our second Environmental Justice Lunch & Learn led by Ellen Wells this Wednesday, October 7 and a virtual, co-sponsored lecture by Dr. Daniel Wildcat, organized through the Building Sustainable Communities SRA on October 15.

We look forward to 'seeing' you and your research at the C4E Research Expo, running from the 12th through the 23rd, and we encourage you to keep your eyes open and your retweeting energies ready to share our second issue of Earth Today with your undergraduates this week.

Please also note several grant workshops out of the EVPRP office are listed below.

Issue no. 2 of Earth Today, our monthly environmental newsletter for undergrads, came out this afternoon.

This month's issue features the College of Liberal Arts’ Environmental and Sustainability Studies Certificate program, an interdisciplinary certificate that employs a humanities perspective toward environmental and sustainability issues. Accompanying the certificate program is the course, “Introduction to Environmental and Sustainability Studies,” the cornerstone of the undergraduate certificate. In this issue, we also highlight the Purdue Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society, a student club devoted to wildlife management, science, and conservation.
