 | February 20, 2025 | | | Dear ,
As alumni of Marian University, we all have stories of how this incredible institution shaped our lives. Whether it was a professor who challenged and inspired us, lifelong friendships forged on campus, or the transformative power of a scholarship that made our education possible, our experiences here left a lasting impact. These moments not only define our time at Marian but also remind us why we continue to support its mission and values. That’s why I encourage you to reflect on your own Marian story as we approach Day for the Knights 2025, our annual day of giving and celebration. This is more than just a fundraising event—it’s a time for us to come together as a community and show our Knight pride by giving back to the school, programs, and scholarships that shaped our journeys. To kick off this exciting occasion, we invite you to the Day for the Knights Launch Party on Wednesday, March 19th, from 5-7 p.m. at the Alumni House in Allison Mansion. This special evening will set the tone for our collective success, featuring food, beverages, and remarks from President Elsener. With our shared commitment and enthusiasm, we can make Day for the Knights 2025 a record-breaking success. Let’s unite to ensure that future students experience the same transformative opportunities we did. Bring your friends, family, and fellow alums, and let’s celebrate together. Let us know you're coming here or simply email alumni@marian.edu. Looking forward to seeing you on March 19th! Go Knights!

| | EMPOWERING CONNECTIONS: WOMEN OF MARIAN CELEBRATE GALENTINE'S DAY The Women of Marian Society's annual Galentine’s Day Celebration was a heartwarming and inspiring event that brought together women from all generations of the Marian University community. The celebration featured thoughtful testimonies from speakers Brylee Koontz ‘24, the immediate past Student Government Association President, and Luci Woodrum ‘25, the current SGA President. These speeches and engaging round-robin table discussions created an open space for attendees to share experiences, reflect on personal growth, and learn from one another. The success of this event highlights the power of connection across generations. We look forward to seeing you at our next gathering! View photos here. | | #METATMARIAN: BILL '02 & HILLARY '02 REID Marian University has always been a place where lifelong connections are made, and Bill Reid ’02 and Hillary (Thoman) Reid ’02 are a perfect example. They met on campus over 25 years ago, and their bond has only grown stronger. Now married for 22 years with three children, they’ve built not only a life together but also thriving careers—Hillary as a Behavior Specialist in Franklin Township’s special education department and Bill at the Indiana State Chemist’s office at Purdue University. Marian is full of stories like theirs—of couples, friends, and mentors whose journeys began right here. Do you have a story of love, friendship, or mentorship from Marian that you'd like to share? Glenn and Laura Jo Tebbe were honored at the Archdiocese of Indianapolis 2025 Legacy Gala this month for their outstanding contributions to Catholic education. The couple’s journey together began in high school, and they both went on to graduate from Marian University in 1971. Laura Jo always dreamed of becoming a teacher, while Glenn felt called to education through divine guidance. Their shared deep connection to the Catholic faith and community has been a driving force behind their dedication to Catholic education.
